ANNOTATION |
The Discussion Course on Choices for Sustainable Living is one part in a series of four discussion courses. The mission of the series is to motivate individuals to examine and transform personal values and habits, to accept responsibility for the earth, and to act on that commitment. The curriculum was written as eight sessions, designed for weekly discussion. Each includes brief readings and accompanying questions and concludes with "Putting it into Practice" for those who desire to do so.
The sessions explore sustainability at multiple levels - society as a whole, the community, and the individual. To get the most out of the sessions, it is recommended that participants approach the material as a personal exploration of society, community, and a way of life. In each case, how would the notion of sustainability apply? The course offers practical ways to preserve the earth for future generations. The curriculum was developed for use by community groups, church groups, schools, businesses, and others interested in discussing issues of sustainability. |
